Orangutan Bukit Lawang

Bukit Lawang is an orangutan rehabilitation site that has been established since 1973 and a Sumatran orangutan observation site since 1991. Naturally, apart from Pangkalan Bun, Kalimantan, Bukit Lawang is also famous as a home for orangutans.
So, when you visit here, don't be surprised if there will be many orangutans living freely in the wild which is their natural habitat.
