The Tropical Rainforest of Mt. Leuser National Park has many as seen species of Primate  on of which is Siamang, which has an impressive for reaching vocal display. The agile and pretty face Thomas Leaf Monkey, Longtail Macaques are commonly seen. In total the park list 285 species of birds 90 of mamals reptiles and 35 of Amphibians. The park flora lowland forest you can find amazing 60 - 130 tree species and if you interested to camp in the jungle for one day or longer.

3. Becak (tuk tuk) Tour the village Relaxing by the becak will show you the local nature culture of surrounding the village 2 - 3 hours. Cost you 25 Euro or Rp. 345.000 including Aqua Water and the guide.

5. "FA. PEMB. SEMESTA" Written on the side to Medan (Pinang Baris bus Stop) Rp. 35.000 /person) & use Taxi Online (Grab taxi via application), from Pinang Baris to City Centre approx Rp. 40.000/Car. Journey can be 3 to 5 hours depending on the change over/waiting time and traffic.

Be warned: This is not a very comfortable journey if you dont like sitting very close to other people. It is not air conditioned!!! It is the transport local people use & it can get cramped. Not many people speak english but are happy to see you and sometimes want to take a photo with you. The road is bumpy with frequent short stops to collect and drop off passengers along the way. The driver will try to put your luggage on the roof but you can keep it with you if there is space.

If you are going to Kuala Namu International Airport, the easiest option is to get off the bus at Binjai (Not Pinang Baris). Just ask the driver to stop at the bus Station for Kualanamu International Airport (it is on Jalan Ikan Paus Street) price is Rp. 40.000/person on the ALS direct airport Bus.
Be careful, the last bus to leave Binjai is at 6 PM. (Make sure to leave Bukit Lawang minimum of 3 hours beforehand to give enough time to catch this bus). This is a large Comfortable Bus with Air Conditioned and space for luggage.
Allow 2 to 3 hours to get to the airport from here, depending on traffic.

Note: it does not stop at Pinang Baris, it goes straight to the Kualanamu International Airport Terminal.

6. Tourist minivan quotes range from Rp. 120.000/person to Medan City or Rp. 190.000/person to Kualanamu International Airport but you may be able to haggle this down depending on how full the minivan is pruce correct as of Oktober 2019.

7. Berastagi if you are intending to go to Berastagi you will still need to head to Medan first than change to one the larger or lately  decorated Bus. Even if you find a 'direct' mibivan to Berastagi it still passes by Medan. If you let the driver know on the way to Medan that you are heading to Berastagi he will drop you off at the one of the change over points. The bus to Berastagi, is most likely to havr a blaring sound system and a boom box so bring some good  ear plugs if you're not into indonesian love pop Songs. Once again the cost is Rp. 20.000. Price correct as Oktober 2019.
